Acceptable use policy

The short version

Use it to run your store honestly. Do not use it to mislead a customer, to spam anybody, or to interfere with the service or with other dealers on it.

Do not

• Publish inventory you do not have the right to publish, or represent another store's vehicles as your own.
• Misstate a vehicle's price, mileage, condition, history or availability, including through a correction made in the portal.
• Use the carrier directory or the transport tools to send unsolicited commercial email, or to send anything that breaks the CAN-SPAM Act or an equivalent law.
• Harvest the directory for a mailing list, resell it, or use it for anything other than arranging transport for your own vehicles.
• Present manufacturer incentive information as an offer from the manufacturer, or advertise a program in a way that breaks your franchise agreement or advertising rules.
• Share a sign-in, or give access to somebody who does not work for your store.
• Probe, scan, overload or attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the service, or to another customer's data.
• Copy, resell or white-label the service or its data as your own product without a written agreement with us.
• Use the service to break the law, to infringe someone's rights, or to store unlawful material.

Automated access

Feed addresses are meant to be read by machines: fetch them as often as your systems need, within reason. Requests that degrade the service for other customers may be rate limited or blocked, and we will tell you if that happens to you.

What happens if this is broken

We prefer a phone call to a suspension. Where we can, we will tell you what we have seen and give you a chance to put it right. Where an account is causing harm, is under attack, or is breaking the law, we may suspend it immediately and tell you why.
