Privacy policy
What we collect, why we hold it, who it is shared with, and what you can ask us to do about it.
Who we are
MyInventory.Link is a product of LeadLocate, owned and operated by DotNet Holdings LLC, 1401 21st St Ste 14270, Sacramento, CA 95811. In this policy, we, us and our mean that company. You can reach us on 844-376-2274 or through the contact form.
Our customers are motor vehicle dealerships. This policy covers the people who visit this website and the people at a dealership who use the product. It does not describe the handling of a dealership's own customer records, which we do not collect through this product.
What we collect
When you visit this website
- Server logs. Our host records the IP address, the page requested, the time, the referring page and the browser user agent for every request. These logs are kept for a limited period for security and troubleshooting.
- What you send us. If you fill in the contact form we receive your name, store name, email address, phone number if you give one, the inventory page address if you give one, the topic you chose and your message.
This site sets no advertising or analytics cookies, runs no third-party tracking scripts, and loads its fonts, styles and images from our own servers. See the cookie notice for the full list.
When your store uses the product
- Vehicle data collected from your dealership's public website, and any corrections your team makes in the portal.
- Store details such as name, address, ZIP, phone and website.
- Account details for each person you ask us to give access to: name, work email address, job role, the role you assign them, and the times they sign in.
- Transport records: the requests your store creates, the carriers asked, and the email correspondence that comes back on those requests.
- Activity records of significant actions taken in the portal and the admin console, including when our support staff open your account to help.
Why we hold it
| To run the service | Collecting, standardizing and publishing your feeds; showing your team their inventory; sending your transport requests and filing the replies. |
|---|---|
| To support you | Answering questions, investigating a feed that failed, and confirming who asked for a change. |
| To keep accounts safe | Detecting misuse, limiting abusive traffic, and recording who did what inside an account. |
| To answer enquiries | Replying to a message you send through this website and following up about it. |
| To meet obligations | Keeping the records the law requires us to keep, and responding to lawful requests. |
Who it is shared with
We do not sell personal information, and we do not sell or license a dealership's inventory data to third parties.
- Where you direct it. A feed address is public by design: anyone your store gives it to can read it. That is what makes it useful, and it is why fields such as price can be held back from the file at your request.
- Carriers you choose. A transport request is emailed to the carriers your store selects, and contains the vehicle and route details you entered.
- Service providers who work for us under contract, currently our hosting provider and Mailgun, which carries email in and out of the product.
- Within our own group. Sign-ins are LeadLocate accounts, so account and access records are shared with the other products in that family.
- Where the law requires it, or to protect our rights, our customers or the public.
How long we keep it
- Website enquiries: up to twenty-four months from the last contact, unless they become an account.
- Feed and vehicle data: while the store is a customer. Historical run records are trimmed on a rolling basis.
- Account and activity records: while the account exists, and for a limited period afterwards so that we can answer questions about what happened.
- Server logs: a short rolling window kept by our host.
Your choices
You can ask us to:
- tell you what we hold about you or your store;
- correct anything that is wrong;
- delete what we hold, where we are not required to keep it;
- hand over your store's data in the same format the feeds use;
- stop publishing your feeds, which we do on request.
Write to us at the address above or use the contact form. We answer within thirty days and will ask you to confirm who you are before we act on a request about an account.
California residents
We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are used in the California Consumer Privacy Act, and we do not use it for cross-context behavioural advertising. You may exercise the rights described above without being treated differently for it.
Security
Everything is served over HTTPS. A person signed in to a store sees that store and no other, enforced on the server rather than in the page. Access is granted by role, sign-ins are centrally managed accounts, and support visits to an account are recorded as ours. More detail is on the security page. No system is perfect; if you believe something has gone wrong, tell us first and we will act on it.
Children
This is a business product. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top of this page and, for customers, say so in writing. Continuing to use the product after a change means the updated policy applies.
